I
took to photography during my early childhood. I am
54 now. I work these days mostly with my Leica M7 and
90mm Summicron.
Photography
did do a lot to me during my studies at Sainik School
in Trivandrum, Regional College of Education in Mysore
and Viswa-Bharati in Santiniketan.
Cartier-Bresson
has been quite a big influence on me. "Always approach
your subject on tiptoes — even if it is a still-life,"
he said. I try to adopt that tip-toe approach, and it
shows in my photographs I guess.
Otherwise,
these days I spend my time with the editing and publishing
of THE
KERALITE LADY.
THE
KERALITE LADY is the only one English women's magazine
from the highly-literate south Indian state of Kerala.
Yes, God's Own Kerala.
THE
KERALITE LADY is an attempt at separating sense from
non-sense.
